FitBorders currently has 12 fully trained Zumba® instructors
Zumba Fitness® was created in the mid-90s by Colombian native Alberto “Beto” Perez, a celebrity fitness trainer and choreographer for International pop superstars.
Inspired by the traditional cumbia, salsa, samba and merengue music he grew up with, Beto paired his favourite pulsating Latin rhythms with the red-hot international dance steps his clients loved and Zumba Fitness® (Spanish slang for “to move fast and have fun”) was born!
Kids love to crank up the music, shake, wiggle and have a blast with their friends.
So why not get fit
while they're at it?
This specialty fuses the Zumba®
program's unique formula relevant to kids.

FitBorders has instructors qualified in Zumba® Gold! …designed for the kind of person
who hasn't exercised in a long time, those that think they can’t dance, older active
adults or individuals who may be limited physically.
It’s an easy-to-follow program
for anyone of any age featuring
Zumba® signature dances such
as Cumbia and Merengue, and
also includes flamenco, tango
and belly dancing.
The Zumba® Gold program strives to improve balance,
strength, flexibility and most importantly, the heart.
A typical class is usually a little shorter, approximately 30 to 45 mins and uses longer warm up and cool down. Zumba instructors for this class are trained to be more aware of any physical changes or any discomfort in their students during the workout.
Zumba Gold workouts includes one that you perform on a chair for those individuals who are sedentary or are in a wheelchair, this can be a great benefit for individuals who are in assisted-living or care facilities.
